Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child from Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the showbiz world early and was playing lead roles in different TV dramas before she turned 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. Additional Oscar nominated movies featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra worked on several significant international and national productions over the years. Some of these include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she is a jury member at each of and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
